Michael Cunningham

Born in 1950 Michael Cunningham lives in Liverpool. He was for two years presenter of The Evil Dead Poets Society, an early incarnation of The Dead Good Poets Society. He has two poetry collections available, Sharp & Leathery (Headland 1995) and About Healing (Driftwood 2004.) 

His poetry has appeared in a number of anthologies and magazines including Acumen, Ambit, The Echo Room, The Frogmore Papers, Iron, The North, Outposts, The Rialto, Slow Dancer, Smiths Knoll, Staple, Verse, The Wide Skirt and broadcast on BBC local radio and Radio Four's Poetry Please.

He is currently working on a series of scripts for TV and Radio. He plays folk blues guitar and "does songs" as a floor singer at the Folk Club run by Chris and Hughie Jones every Tuesday at the Everyman Bistro in Liverpool.

He is a Catholic and an active member of St Bernadette's Parish, Allerton.
